We used the derive-app to guide us through the city
Our staring point was Marconiplein
These were the Cards we followed

The app sended us tothe south to find something hand made..So we found a monument of a fox.
walk towards the mountains..no mountains so walked to the tallest building.
Walk 2 streets further and go to the left.
Walk to something that is under construction and then walk to the right after the 2nd street.
Search for a public transport and follow it -> Chose to take the tram to Kruisplein.
Follow a line to the end and we came to a bridge.
Follow the tallest building for 7 min.
Go to a quiet place.
Go straight on until you can no longer go straight. We ended up in westzeedijk.
Now we have to go to a place where it's dark.
Go to a place with the most clouds. Or away from the sun...So we just tried to follow a place with dark clouds
Follow the sun..we imagined one ourselves. The Billboard was our sun.
Short Logbook about our walks:
Concept Ideas
4. No more suprises = Niet alle stoeppaden waren makkelijk toegankelijk doordat ze huizen gingen renoveren.

Test plan
- Is it clear that these colors represent morning, afternoon and night?
-What do you think these buttons are going to do?
What are we testing:
-Theme colors
-Function of the buttons
-Readability
-Meaning of the symbols
-Is it clear how you open the story?
-Is it clear how to come/walk to the story?
-Is the function of the app clear?
-Is it clear how you can put your own story in?
-Do you miss a function when you write your story?
Our first concept was to create a save travel route for women to avoid places that doesn’t feel save for them. They can use select what kind of places they want to avoid so the app can calculate a route which the user prefers.
After our feedback session we had a brainstorm session and decided to change our concept to a more like story telling route app. In this app the user can a man, woman or youngster. In here the app will let the user can use the route planner to get to there destination in the meanwhile the app will show stories nearby of others that walked there. The user can click on it and the app will share the story someone else has experienced at that place. They app will show the route that the writer of the story took while the user can read or listen to the story. This way the user can learn new routes, places, knowing what people experienced there and knowing but those stories which places can be dangerous, beautiful or fun to walk.
We are still thinking if we still want to use the routeplanner in de app or just leave it.
Feedback session/decisions :
• Think about the safety of the app, man can also download the app and know the route the user will take
• Maybe you can educate the man about it. Why they shouldn’t do it or think about how the woman feel about it.
• Think about educating the man without them knowing it, like it’s hidden
• Interesting concept, its definitely something people have to be reminded to
• In some cultures it’s normal, with making noise and talking. Is there a need to create that for woman
After the feedback we had a brainstorm session together and decided to change the concept a bit, also because there are a lot of problems we have to think for the app, but also realized that we can’t solve in 2 days. So we changed the app into a story telling derive.
Arjen gave us also feedback on Wednesday and told us our first concept was more interesting(but also understood that it would be hard in a short time.) So he told us to make it more specific with the stories, so it won’t be to much. After this class we thought to combinate out two concepts. So people can write there own story an can follow stories of others. The stories will be about there experience at some places when they felt unsafe.
